I was shocked when my 7-year-old daughter’s hair started thinning from the nape of her neck. I was soon able to see a nearly-bald area and it also spread to the right side of her head, where her hair was thinning. I immediately took her pediatrician and he ran blood tests. She didn’t have any thyroid and was not anemic either. The doctor recommended that we apply an ointment on her scalp. But when there was no improvement the doctor told us to stop the ointment and put her on prednisone. I heartbreakingly had my daughter take prednisone for a month until I went to see a dermatologist. She diagnosed her with DNCB and we applied medicine patches on her scalp. when there was no allergic or other bad reaction, the dosage was increased and her hair started growing again. But even though her hair was growing back, she had a lot of dandruff and my daughter continued to complain of itchy scalp. And maybe the effect of the patches wore off because my daughter’s hair started to fall out again.

I heard form a co-worker that someone else with a similar problem saw very good results with acupuncture and was introduced to Dr. Cho. Dr. Cho told me that it would take about 3 months for the entire treatment to bring my daughter’s hair growth back to normal. So for 3 months, I put her on the herbal formula which was not an easy process but in the end, we saw great results. After 10 days of taking the herbs, my daughter’s hair stopped falling out. And in one month, we were able to see new hair growing. And just as Dr. Cho had predicted, we stopped treatment in 3 months and so far everything is perfect!
